Hudson Lane is one of the best eating options for Delhi University students and this time Team ChicLifeByte made its visit to Box Office Cafe situated there. The theme for this cafe is Bollywood. Yes, a Bollywood themed cafe!! You will find dialogues of movies written all over the place. Dialogues, posters, photo frames, selfies & pouts are a few things to mention that you will find on their walls. There is also rooftop area on the floor above. It is amazing with lovely lighting in the evening. There are two levels of seating along with the option of seating indoors or terrace area. They also small a small private area for couples which needs to be pre-booked.
The restaurant greets you with SRK’s ‘senorita’ line from DDLJ and they even have a wall dedicated to Chulbul Pandey.
The menu is crafted very nicely and has an interesting touch to each and every dish. The first thing that excited us was the Maggi sandwich. Recommended by the Chef this dish I would say was the best one that we ordered. It was such an innovative recipe. I never thought that maggi could be presented as a sandwich. Between the two layers of maggi, there was spicy chicken.
To go along with the food, we ordered the mocktail Red Hawaii which tasted tangy & refreshing.
Next was Fried fish burger which had a perfectly cooked fish tikki in the juicy burger. It was presented with fries and dip. We also ordered for a Veg platter. What I loved about this was its quantity. It had ample portions of Dahi Kebab, Paneer Tikka and Soya Chaap. The presentation, texture & taste were perfect.
Finally for my Chinese cravings, we opted for Chilli chicken with chilli garlic noodles. The Chilli chicken was well made with the chicken juicy & ripe and went perfectly with the chilli garlic chicken noodles.
To go with the theme, there was Bollywood music playing over the place. You can surely enjoy the food with the foot tapping Bollywood beats. And when you combine good food and music it leads to an ultimate experience. The entire ambience gives you the feel of movies and on top of it the music brings in another level of aura. Must visit for people who look for a great food experience with a touch of Bollywood music and ambience.
