Restaurant Review: Ambrosia Bliss, Connaught Place

The first things that come to your mind on entering Ambrosia Bliss are: beautiful, spacious & lavish. Ambrosia Bliss stands tall with 15000 sq. ft of space in the heart of Delhi, Connaught Place (CP). The place is divided into 3 areas: fine dining, lounge & private dining area.

Shining more in the Taj Mahal like structure, Ambrosia Bliss also has a bar section done in classic white, a dreamer’s paradise with music upbeat & decorated very stylishly. They have an area with newspapers, novels & magazines for people who love to catch up on life. You will feel really happy from inside to be there because it is beautifully done with the ceiling reflecting & scattering light everywhere.

I started my food encounter with the Khao Suey soup. It had peanuts, eggs, coriander, broccoli, mushrooms with the aroma & taste of the Thai recipe. The Burmese & coconut flavour added to the lovely delight & ChicLifeByte definitely recommends it!

Talking about the Chicken Manchow soup, it had ginger, garlic, coriander, herbs, crispy noodles & ofcourse chicken. The soup was quite flavourful & delicious.

The Smoked Chicken & Quinoa Salad had smoked chicken, bell peppers, iceberg, onions, jalapenos, quinoa seeds & kidney beans in lemon vinaigrette dressing. The salad was nice with chicken tenderly done in the dressing that made it smell & taste heavenly.

Then there was the My Berry muddled mocktail with fresh raspberry, blackberry, peach puree & cranberry juice. The presentation was fabulous with the 3 cherries. The drink was sweet & tangy and I loved the after taste of the berries.

My Berry muddled mocktail & Twist @ Bliss (L-R)

The second mocktail was Twist @ Bliss with fresh orange chunks, cranberry, passion fruit, strawberry & lemon juice. The preparation had a slice of orange piece twisted in a stick with a paper umbrella. It was a lemonish orange mix medley which I personally super liked.

The supervisor trainee captain Mr. Surender Singh was calm enough to speak to us & took care of everything personally.

Coming to the starters, we had a platter consisting of Dahi ke Kebab, Soya Chaap Tikka, Hari Mirch ka Murgh & Afghani Chicken. The Dahi ke Kebab were soft with paneer filling, non-spicy & cooked to perfection. The Soya Chaap Tikka was soft & juicy. I am not too fond of soya but still I liked them. The Hari Mirch ka Murgh was the best thing on the plate. It was delicious! The Afghani Chicken was succulent & rightly made.

Next, we tried the Spinach & water chestnut dimsums. They were good & make an excellent healthy option.

The Indian Shakahari Pizza had paneer tikka, bell peppers, tomatoes & caramalised onions as the toppings. The base of the pizza was crispy & thin crust. I loved the Indianized version of the pizza.

The Dilli wala butter chicken was juicy & creamy like the flavour of Delhi in the chicken which made it pleasurable. Definitely one of the best I have had in Delhi!

The Malai kofta was spicy, creamy & nicely done. Though it was a little sweet which I didn’t like.

The Chicken Biryani was flavourful & aromatic. I completely loved the biryani & the after taste of the lovely grains of happiness.

For breads, I tried the Multi-grain roti (healthy option with sesame seeds), Butter naan (soft & crispy layered with butter) & Mirchi ka parantha.

Finally coming to the Desserts- The Coconut Crème Pudding was nice & had a sinful coconut taste which made me satiable and I did not need more.

The Sugar Free Cheesecake was yummy & yes calorie free too to dig into the sin & not repent afterwards. And everything is made in-house here.

I had a great experience here. It’s a place to relax for everyone be it the young, old or teenagers. I can’t wait to go back there 🙂
