When we asked Dino Morea about comparison between acting and modeling he said, “Modeling too is acting. You see when you are doing a commercial you need to express and act and express your emotions. It is a different way of acting. It is just that there are no dialogues and long shoots and it is just for a minute not a half but it is more challenging because in a short time you have to express yourself perfectly about the certain product you are modeling for. Whereas in films you have to live the character for a longer time than ads”.

Also we came to know that Bollywood was never part of the grand plan for Esha initially. “As a child, I never dreamt of entering Bollywood or movies. I wanted to be a chef. But my dad told me, ‘I don’t think a vegetarian chef is going to make it globally!’ I was also into sport and studious as well,
I even got a scholarship to study law at Newcastle University in the UK.”

But the Miss India beauty contest happened and modeling offers came pouring in. “The goal then had been to become a lawyer, but the journey just changed,” she smiles. And she has no regrets. “Cardinal rule: never have regrets in life!” she laughs.

“I’ve been blessed in that I do not have any regrets except that after I moved to Mumbai [from Delhi] I miss spending time with my family, my parents and sis Neha, and our dogs. I need to earn more so I can buy the kind of place where I can move them along with our three dogs!”

Meanwhile at the backstage we asked Natasha Singh, a contestant about her reason for taking part in the Miss India Contest to which she replied “My inspiration to be Miss India is firmly grounded in my desire to invoke change. I see it as the ideal platform for my voice to reach large masses of people. It will aid me in spreading awareness about my cause, and, inevitably, initiate social change”

The scintillating evening saw performance by sensational singer duo Amaal and Armaan Malik, entertaining the audience with their popular Bollywood numbers. The evening became more sizzling when Lauren Gottlieb set fire to the stage with choreographers Punit Pathak & Deepak Singh. When we asked Priyadarshini about her success mantra, she said “Feel beautiful within, it reflects on the outside. Focus on your target, do not let anything divert your attention from it. Feel positive about yourself, it’ll give you confidence to achieve what you want. I do not let any achievement get to my head. I am a focused person and always know what I want. I am a humble person of modest means. My purpose instills confidence in me and assures me that I deserve the crown. I hope you all have read the book ‘The Secret’.”
