As you must be aware team ChicLifeByte was off to a trip to Heiwa Heaven, a luxury resort at Jaipur. After an eventful day which was about meeting the management, having awesome food, a gala cocktail night with Rajasthani food, we retired for the day and were looking forward to the joyful day the next morning. In case you missed reading about our eventful day, you can catch the posts here and here.
They say “relish the mystical flavors of Asia and delight your senses at EEST with distinct cuisines – Chinese, Japanese and Thai crafted to capture the essence of province of South East Asia”. I completely agree with their description of the restaurant.
Walking to the eatery carved intricately, EEST looks quite impressive and a very calm space for a quiet meal. Extremely bored and done with the loud nightlife around Sector 29 of Gurgaon, I quite liked the peaceful meal here. If one wants to spend an evening with their people talking, I think this is the place. Very light instrumental music in the background and dimly lit space, EEST has its own beauty to attract you.
As you must be aware that Team ChicLifeByte was off to a trip to Heiwa Heaven, a luxury resort in Jaipur and post check in at the forest theme resort and meeting Aarti Bansal, General Manager of the resort we headed for lunch at the beautiful forest theme restaurant called Nirwana Woods! In case you missed reading the first part, you could read it here! The 100% vegetarian restaurant had interiors dominated by barks of the tree, stems and plants which made our dinning experience even more blissful. Even the outside of the restaurant was given a rock carving which gave a unique look.
For us travel enthusiasts, it is easy to book flights but where we get stuck is the accommodation that we are choosing. This is what I personally got stuck with while I was planning my trip to Goa and what played genie in the process was Cleartrip. A click on Hotels in Goa is all I had to do and it was not just the hotel names that popped out, it was along with prices, stars, hotel area and rating…isn’t that wonderful? The infinite variety of accommodation from Guest Houses to luxurious hotels was what I wanted. With a brief description and filters, it did make my search easy and hassle free. Gone are the days when we used to call up our friendly travel agents for booking our flights and accommodation for a vacation or work trip…Now everything is a click away.
The Christmas celebrations began at The Imperial New Delhi which was decorated like a colourful Christmas wonderland over an afternoon tea with live counters and a master cook on a wintery afternoon. The indulgent buffet was adorned with perfectly crafted white Christmas trees and starry decor which spelled understated luxury. The grand feast included Christmas Stollen, Traditional Plum cake, Ratatouille Tartlets, Leek and Chicken pie, Macaroons amongst other delicious makes.
The word Shangri-La defines an imaginary paradise on earth where life approaches perfection. The aura created at Shangri-La’s Eros Hotel, New Delhi was totally mesmerizing and jewelled with Christmas spirit. Shangri-La’s Eros Hotel hosted its Annual Christmas Tree Lightning Ceremony at the hotel lobby.
So, here we are on our fun filled travelogue with updates of our adventures at Corbett Blue Sky Resort in Jim Corbett. If you missed out on Day 1, you can read it here. Day 2 started with a stroll in the green lawns and our morning cup of tea. The pleasant weather and fresh air made our morning great. It felt heavenly walking on the slightly wet grass. What a wonderful start of the day!! We also had our morning tea and sandwiches in the lawn. Having our morning tea in greenery was a different and nice experience. Afterall we Delhi wallas rarely ever see such greenery. The veg sandwiches served with the tea were nice and soft with a filling of cucumber and tomato along with butter. The chai had elaichi in it and smelled wonderful.
This autumn, rather than doing the usual which is eating, shopping and sleeping , I decided to do something different. Though, I would still be doing the above mentioned things but at a different location. I decided to visit Jim Corbett to see some wildlife and meet our friends – Deers, Tigers, Elephants, Leopards etc.
I took help from our friendly search engine Google and decided on Corbett Blue Sky Resort by Orawar Hotels for my lodging requirements. There were so many interesting things that I wanted to share with you so I have divided this post in 2 Parts. So here goes my travelogue for Day 1.
Feast your eyes as Le Meridien is transformed into Willy Wonka’s Chocolate factory. Yes, a chocolate factory! Read on to know more.
As I entered, I saw a huge 25 ft. tall unique Christmas tree in the lobby. What’s special about the Christmas tree is that it is made out of 3000 discarded CD’s which have been collected from several departments of the hotel & also contributions from conscientious guests who care about the environment. Fashioned out of about 3000 CDs, this special tree is a strong symbol of the hotel’s motto of managing e-waste and also adhering to the principle of ‘Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.’
