August is a special month. A month which brings out love for different people in our life! Well, the first weekend of August is Friendship Day which is celebrated on the first Sunday of August! Followed by love for India…What could be better than this! Aug 15th is Independence Day and we see the colours of our national flag everywhere….from balloons to interesting décor across restaurants and malls…we see saffron, white and green across ceilings and walls!
On a typical Delhi Monsoon Friday Evening recently, we were invited to Four Points by Sheraton (This is on the main NH8 Highway and just after you get off the now non-existent toll coming to Delhi; take the slip road to reach here) to be part of the Best Brews Program.
There is a dearth of good Chinese delivery outlets in Delhi. And I am glad I discovered Happy Hakka.
I believe Chinese is the most popular foreign cuisine in India. And honestly it is my favourite comfort food. I can have it anytime. But it’s not possible to go to a fine dine place everyday for those cravings and given the limited delivery options for Chinese in Delhi, we aren’t left with much choice. But I recently got to know about Happy Hakka- a leading Pan Asian QSR known for fresh, healthy & pocket friendly Pan-Asian food and they have recently launched their new menu with dishes like Crispy Wai Wai Salad, Dragon Fire Wings, Emperor’s Hotpot and many more.
It’s the era of selfies! Everyone loves those clicks whether it’s a solo one or with a group of friends or family…that’s one thing which is mandatory at a party or any other social do! Selfies have become a child’s play and everyone from children to grown ups love clicking them. It’s so easy- you just have to turn your front camera on, press a button and get captured in a mood that defines that particular moment.
Truly speaking I love the selfie culture but I have always had an issue with front cameras. Most of the phones boast of a great camera quality but where they fail is the resolution of the front camera! And without a superb front camera where do we ‘selfie lovers’ go? Recently, I got to know about Coolpad Mega 2.5D which not only has a great 8 MP back camera but has the same resolution front camera as well! This makes me an expert as I love capturing beautiful moments of happiness.
School life & tiffin time without punishment only at The Leela Convention Ambience Hotel, Delhi
FoodNow who doesn’t love the school time fun & masti and all the fun with teachers and friends when we were children with our tiffin boxes packed with so much love by our mothers who used to wake up early in the morning and we used to get ready carrying our tiffin box, bottle & bag rushing for the school bus.
I am sure you know that Team ChicLifeByte was in Mcleodganj staying in the beautiful suite of the luxury property Pride Surya Mountain Resort. In case you missed on the first part, you can read it here.
As I woke up the next morning, I saw a beautiful view of Mcleodganj from the room’s window. This is not what we can see from any of the Delhi homes or hotels…neither such a big window…nor such a breathtaking view! Both hot water and breakfast was for a limited no. of hours so without wasting much time…we took a quick shower and headed for the first meal of the day.
Garlands of love
Fragrance of love
Lights & flowers embedded
Candles & glass chandeliers stirring the soul,
Making a magical rush in the bloodstream
Which connects to the heartstream
And the centerstage you hold
Orange & yellow pearls
Like a long wedding dream
You become alive
With the magical angel of love in pink
Dancing & moving her hands with all her charm
The lady luck all in peaches and roses
Tarun Tahiliani closed Day 2 of India Couture Week with his collection entitled “The Last Dance of the Courtesan”- a tribute and acknowledgement to the highest bastions of culture, poetry, dance & finesse.
You must have read about ChicLifeByte’s rendezvous with Patrick Cameron sometime back. In case you missed it, you can read it here. Patrick also introduced us to Wella Professionals EIMI styling range there but now they have launched it, I can talk about it in length.
Yeh mausam ka jaadu hai….No, I am not reminiscing a bollywood actress singing and dancing on this song but I am enjoying the magical monsoon! Monsoon brings out a special effect where we would just want to enjoy tea and pakodas in our balcony with our special ones.
Recently, I was invited for a special brunch known as ‘Band Baaja Baarish’ at Informal located at Connaught Place where I would get to experience a special monsoon menu. This quite attracted me and I immediately said yes to the special invitation.
Who doesn’t love brownies? And when brownies are soft, moist, chocolaty, and absolutely yum…who can resist them. I recently visited the factory of the dessert brand Kuppies and realized what I was having all these years wasn’t real brownie but something else. Yes, when I tasted the brownie which Kuppies is introducing, it was very different from what I have had till date.
