My favourite look from the looks I sported at #LMIFW: ADI by ADITYA KHANDELWL

“Think about the style of the occasion before you plan your outfit” – Jenny Packham

This Fashion Week, I wore an outfit which was elegant, unique, experimental and just perfect- not only in style but comfort as well! Fashion week is the time to experiment and the recently concluded Lotus Make Up India Fashion Week Spring Summer’19 {#LMIFW SS19} spread across four days witnessed glitz and glamour not only on the ramp but also off the ramp.

My glamorous moment this LMIFW was with an outfit by Adi by Aditya Khandelwl. The two-piece outfit consisted of a jacket with chain stitch work and multicoloured threads with flare on sleeves. Comfort and style goes hand in hand with this mouse grey outfit which possessed the right aura. The cold shoulder sleeve with net at the back is alluringly designed for more sultriness defining my body and personality. The floral colourful pattern in the front made the dress a masterpiece and with Aditya’s craftsmanship I could not have asked for a better outfit with the various cuts in the silhouette and the frilly layers of the skirt.

The elegant outfit was not a garment for me but an extension of my personality. It formed one unique combination with frills and zips making the garment more appealing, sexy, alluring and charming. The outfit is distinctive and not something I have seen before. With unique design sensibilities possessed by the designer, this masterpiece of his made the right statements off the ramp of LMIFW. The gorgeous outfit was perfect for the finale day of Fashion Week and became an instant head turner.

Now give me an opportunity to introduce the talented designer. Aditya Khandelwal has already dressed and designed celebrities like Gauhar Khan, Mugdha Godse, V.J. Andy, Debina & Gurmeet. The young designer’s forte lies in dresses and gowns in fusion wear inter-mixed with contemporary Indian styles to blend with our culture. Each masterpiece is a style statement within itself. Men, don’t worry, in Adi’s collection we could also spot embroidered Sherwani, Jodhpuris & Indo westerns.

Aditya Khandelwal honed his skills in women’s and men’s wear at International Institute of Design, New Delhi where he was awarded Best Designer of the Year. Post his graduation he did his masters in Milan at Istituto Europeo di Design in Fashion and Textiles.

Keeping up with the fashion industry, this brand was launched in 2009, where one man’s dream became the reality and the masterpieces- the creation of that dreamer. His goal has been very clear- to introduce innovative styles and colours to this whimsical journey of ageless fashion of Couture and Prêt-a- porter.

Team ChicLifeByte personally visited Adi’s exclusive boutique located at Mehrauli and we were mesmerized with the outfits. Each creation and detail illustrated the passion, innovation, and hard work of the designer. With a specialization in surface embellishments and drapes, each outfit possessed a unique charm. The designer who has displayed at various Fashion Weeks across the country believes in ‘Ramp to Reality’, where they go all out for a more commercially viable yet creative line of clothing. The designer has also exhibited at ‘Who’s Next’, the leading fashion trade show held at Paris.
