Barcelos made quite a buzz when it entered the Indian market. Team ChicLifeByte did tell you about its black, red & white burger and also their boozy shakes. We were recently invited for a tasting session of the flame grilled chicken, one of their core product. Initially, I thought this was a new product but on reaching the restaurant located in the middle lane of Khan Market, I read the menu and realized that it’s already a part of the menu.
Being a food blogger, it gives me immense pleasure to bring you updates about world cuisines. Team ChicLifeByte was recently invited to Peruvian Gastronomic Festival by Chef Bruno Andreas Santa Cruz at Hyatt Regency, Delhi. Peruvian Food Festival was done in association with the Embassy of Republic of Peru. Our research on Peru showcased a vivid and lively picture of the place based out of South America which made me quite enthusiastic on trying out the food and meeting Chef Bruno in person. Contrary to India, Peru food is quite simple. Main course is a piece of protein (chicken/meat), potatoes and rice. The food actually has an influence from Spain, Chinese, Japanese and Italy.
We have always admired Chef Sabyasachi Gorai (Popularly known as Chef Saby) who hails from Asanol and resides in New Delhi. A name behind the menu of a lot of amazing places – Olive, Lap, Love Hotel and recipient of a lot of awards. So when Team ChicLifeByte got to know about ‘Lavaash by Saby’, we had to review it. Our research said, it is Armenian cuisine and we were curious to know more about it. We contacted Chef Saby who was sweet enough to invite us over to grab the taste of the cuisine. As we made our entry to the grand property, we were mesmerized by the interiors of the place. Every element had different colours of Peacock. Curious to know why? Because Peacock is the national bird of Armenia. Different elements at the restaurant were carefully put up to give the customers a nice vibe – elegant golden era lampshades, windchime with colourful birds, Peacock motifs on laser cut outs at the entrance, Bright tiles, colourful walls along with a beautiful terrace with a view of Qutub Minar. One thing we particularly liked was the upholstery of the chairs which had colourful patterns and prints which made the restaurant more lively. The mustard yellow wall added a subtle touch while the blue one gave a cool look. A big thumbs up to Svabhu and Viplab for doing such a fabulous job. Though Chef Saby and Chef Megha had put together a mood board for inspiration. Team Chiclifebye spent about half a day at the place as we did some outfit posts there – Trendy Divva which can be viewed here, FREECULTR and Triveni Sarees which will be posted soon. The beautiful interiors and exteriors along with the helpful staff made our shoot quite smooth.
Ever thought of having a hearty wholesome meal in a comfortable set up of a Stock Exchange Bar? This is what the newly opened Cafe Dalal Street (CDS) in Connaught Place offers. It is the brainchild of 2 young entrepreneurs Himanshu Gupta & Vidit Gupta who studied in UK together and wanted to get bar bites concept in India here which is famous in UK.
Everything is in small portions as Vidit wants that the customer orders more & more variety. There was a drink named Tequilla Roses in the menu made with rose water, milk, sugar & tequilla. It is found nowhere but here. Another very popular drink is the Eliminator (achiever’s drink in UK) which is available here.

Hey folks now its time to review the all new “SuperMenu” launched by Cafe Coffee Day. As we know Cafe Coffee Day is India’s largest café chain in terms of number of café outlets. It’s been 19 years that they are into this business and time to time they carry out researches in their own Innovation Studio to meet the taste buds of the ever demanding consumer.
The super flavoursome fun begins with two slurp-y soup variants served with a side portion of garlic bread – the hot and creamy ‘Mushroom Marvel Soup’ packed with the awesomeness of milled black pepper and dairy foam. Another super soup in the menu is the ‘Tangy Tomatina’, a fusion of juicy tomatoes and sweet bell pepper giving it a mouthwatering twist. The soup is served in tall glasses. It was mouthwatering and a new innovation in coffee industry
Bored of the usual places in Delhi? Looking for a cool new place to eat and drink? So head to the chic new place in town called Butler House. Tucked away in the midst of bustling Punjabi Bagh, Team ChicLifeByte made its stop recently at this swanky new place deriving its inspiration from Irish Bar which is sure to take Delhi’s culinary ride to another level.
Inspired from the Irish Bar, Butler House has many USP’s. From great food & drink, powerful bar, and even a double decker terrace. We made ourselves comfortable on one of the benches. Looking high at the ceiling made us read the wonderful quotes. We were greeted by Chef Manish, a product of IHM, Pusa who has been a part of the F&B Industry for the last 12 yrs experimenting with stand alone restaurants after a stable stint at different 5 star hotels like Taj Mann Singh (started his career from there), ITC Maurya and Hotel Aman (Now called The Lodhi).

Today, I’ll be reviewing Garam Dharam, an exciting & breathtaking venture of Mickey Mehta & Umang Tiwari inspired by veteran actor Dharmendra which I am sure you all must be aware of.
The ambience is quirky & the decor be it the Veeru bikes or truck or Horn OK slogan, the Dream girl banner, his pictures, his era, his movies, his stardom all have been combined together to make this Dhaba Te Theka called Garam Dharam. We could even hear Dharmendra’s songs which added a touch of romance (yes, the Dharmendra classics).
