Shree Rathnam: A great new eatery at Nehru Place

Food November 16, 2015

Being a Delhiite, Nehru Place has always been the go-to destination for electronics – either for getting your laptop fixed or for a new mobile phone. Being a foodie, our rounds to any place are incomplete without eating and there has surely been no restaurant in Nehru Place which offers a nice hygienic meal with nice seating. Epicuria did solve this problem to an extent but a food court is not the best place to have a nice hearty meal.

I recently spotted Shree Rathnam on a sunny afternoon of October and my excitement had no limits. I had tried Shree Rathnam during one of my trips to Chandigarh and absolutely loved the food, so with no second thoughts, I stepped inside the restaurant. I was greeted by Harpreet, the owner of the restaurant along with Keshav, the manager. I was quite impressed by the calm and composed décor done in beige and brown. After the hustle bustle in the market, people do crave for a nice meal in peace.

Restaurant Review: Jamie’s Pizzeria, Ambience Mall Gurgaon

Food November 13, 2015

Jamie’s Pizzeria, the UK based international food chain makes it way to India with its first outlet in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. For all pizza lovers, its a must stopover for the variety of pizzas which are all beautifully & lovingly made with the best ingredients for the Oxford & Cambridge generation.

We were invited for a media launch of Jamie’s Pizzeria in Gurgaon recently to taste some of Jamie’s food. The menu is a blend of traditional best-selling Italian dishes and some more contemporary dishes with a Jamie and Gennaro twist. Rustic, simple dishes made from the best seasonal ingredients drive menu development. The ambience is very warm & laid back with blackboards, pictures & sketches, big lamps and chairs. It was very interesting and lovely to look at the open kitchen where pizzas were prepared live, displays of hanging vegetables and planks in the restaurant.

Restaurant Review: Rara Avis, Greater Kailash-2

Food October 19, 2015

Rara Avis, a premiere French bistro located in GK-2 is amongst the best French restaurants in Delhi and has the finest dishes to offer. As I entered, I was greeted by Mr. Rajiv Aneja, the owner of Rara Avis and Chef Jerome Cousin who helped us decide our order. The restaurant has a very bistro style set up, dim lighting, comfortable chairs and a really homely touch to it. They also have a beautiful rooftop sitting which is more of a private dining area.

Shahjahanabad Festival by Jalalis at Le Meridien, Gurgaon

Food October 8, 2015

Hey everyone, Team ChicLifeByte was recently invited to Shahjahanabad Festival by Jalalis at Le Meridien, Gurgaon. As I gave my vehicle keys to the valet I was mesmerized to see the greenery overlooking the entrance of the hotel. I made my way to the restaurant passing through the chic white lobby and saw a big board about the festival right outside the restaurant ‘Latest Recipe’, an all day dining restaurant of the hotel. We were warmly greeted by the PR manager, Anadita and Chef Osama Jalali.  The festival had all the delicacies of Old Delhi uniquely innovated by Chef Osama Jalali himself. Here we got to relish the flavours of Purani Dilli all prepared by the Flavour-e-azam man Osama Jalali & his mom together.

The first things that come to your mind on entering Ambrosia Bliss are: beautiful, spacious & lavish. Ambrosia Bliss stands tall with 15000 sq. ft of space in the heart of Delhi, Connaught Place (CP). The place is divided into 3 areas: fine dining, lounge & private dining area.

Shining more in the Taj Mahal like structure, Ambrosia Bliss also has a bar section done in classic white, a dreamer’s paradise with music upbeat & decorated very stylishly. They have an area with newspapers, novels & magazines for people who love to catch up on life. Restaurant Review: Vault Cafe, Connaught Place

Food September 25, 2015

What if you open a tijori and what you find is not jewels or money but tons of people enjoying with great food & drinks. Surprised? That’s what Vault Cafe has in store for you. As we reached the tijori door, we were warmly welcomed and greeted by Mr. Yogesh Tiwari, the manager of the restaurant who also gave us his prestigious time and told us in depth about the restaurant. He mentioned that this restaurant is for true Delhi-ites who come from different backgrounds. There are people who would want drinks at a low cost and there are people who don’t care about prices, so to solve this they have set prices across different categories. They have a beer costing Rs. 90/- and another costing Rs. 840/-. During the day, they generally see youngsters below the age of 25 and after 7 PM, they see people above 30. The crowd isn’t only the corporate ones but guests throng from faraway areas like Noida and Faridabad.
