Garam Dharam launch

Food September 21, 2015

Garam Dharam- Dhaba Te Theka is another breathtaking place to eat which ChicLifeByte recently visited in CP. The restaurant is Umang Tewari’s & Mickey Mehta’s new project inspired from the veteran actor Dharmendra.

The place is quite warm, cozy & colourful with caricatures & pictures of Dharmendra’s movies & all his photos on the walls reminding of the time when he was young & everybody loved him like a true hero.

Restaurant Review: Penthouse, GK-1

Food September 17, 2015

As I crossed the fashion zone of Pout Café, I entered Penthouse, a modern lounge & bar located at Greater Kailash-1. The restaurant has the look & feel of a classic English bar highlighted by the neutral palette & dark wood décor. I was quite pleased to see the stylish outlet with aesthetically pleasing interiors. The lounge had nice round and square tables with comfortable chairs. The seat we chose to sit on had an innovative table. It had a trunk shaped table with a sofa.

First Preview of Levels HKV

Food September 16, 2015

As you enter Levels located above Raasta at the third floor in Hauz Khas Village, you’ll find a telephone booth and a picture of the London tower with comfortable sofas giving a British feel.

The owners Sahil & Avneesh have started this restaurant called Levels based on a unique concept of division of floors. The restaurant is 3 floored wherein each floor will have a different theme & music and you will just have to switch floors to be in the other theme. The cuisine is mostly deep American & Mexican with the burgers, enchiladas, fajitas & pastas. The interiors of the restaurant are done in black & red & the ambience added a rocking appeal the place. It’s a new concept & idea and they have introduced unique dishes on the menu for people to enjoy with the liquor & food (global cuisine).

Restaurant Review: NYC, Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi

Food September 9, 2015

Team ChicLifeByte was recently invited to Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi and it’s time to share my experience. We tried out the multi cuisine buffet at NYC which was laid out nicely on a big table in the centre with lots of lights & lamps hanging tall from the ceiling so that we can see each dish clearly. I was overwhelmed seeing the great variety on offer. The live kitchen counter was built in orange & black bricks in one corner where the chefs were cooking some amazing recipes. It was a rainy day & I could see trees & plants from the big glass door with natural light coming inside giving a clear view of nature.

Restaurant Review: Gulati Spice Market, Saket #RnMOnAskMe

Food September 6, 2015

Now ChicLifeByte will talk of spices & the food which I personally love (Punjabi food addict). Amidst the glitter & the brands of Select Citywalk, there stands tall the only Spice region called the Gulati Spice Market which is always full with people & the food, warmth & the village like mitti wala feel because of the warm colours (earthen) used inside the restaurant with lots of jars of spices & bottles and sacks of whole laal mirch kept which every food addict will love. Can’t say more coz I love the place & the music with lots of chic lamps on the top of the table, giving more light & a comfortable plus warm area to dine. There are burnt orange sofas & red chairs inside and at the entrance those big round water filled earthen pots with flowers in them gives a nice feel (peace & divine feel). They even have an open kitchen & it’s amazing to see all the chefs with their chef hats and their responsibility to serve good food & all the waiters in black attire & cooperative enough to ask & serve every dish.

When my Little Brother surprised me!!

Food September 2, 2015

Who doesn’t love surprises? Well, last week when I was coming back from my gym all tired and sweaty, I saw a nice looking van outside my house. I was curious as to what the van was doing there. On reaching upstairs I found a cute looking purple box on my centre table. I was wondering what it is that the box contains is. When I could not control my excitement, my kid brother told me that it was a special rakhi surprise by him which he ordered from Ferns N Petals. He was sad that he would not be able to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with me this time as he will be at his college most of the day. Those were one of the most beautiful cupcakes I had ever seen.
