Restaurant Review: The Joint Cafe, Gurgaon

Food May 29, 2016

The Joint Cafe, situated in the happening location of Galleria market, Gurgaon is probably one of the best breakfast options not just in Gurgaon but the entire NCR. This pint sized cafe is tucked away in a sleepy corner of the Galleria market but locating it is hardly a tough task. As mentioned, JC is not huge and has seating only for 12-15 people, on weekends this place tends to get crowded pretty fast so you’re better off heading there as early as possible (or plan for a few minutes wait). The Joint cafe offers a wide range of cuisines in breakfast: American, Italian, French and Indian. “The Joint Cafe is just 2.5 year old” says Vikrant Singh Mathur, our energetic host of the evening & the founder of The Joint Cafe.

A boozy evening with perfect food #LowOnYourPocket- 100% Rock, Vasant Kunj

Food May 24, 2016

A super cool eatery in a niche area, 100% Rock is on the third floor of Ambience mall, Vasant Kunj. Following the route boards, we enter this dark eatery with amazing green and orange lit wooden interiors with, as the name says, 100 percent rock music and 200 percent life. If you are a classic rock music lover, this is your place, my friend!

Entering this place you can spot an open bar, a wooden interior setting and a movie memorabilia, which was an added sight and quite different from other places. Up goes a wooden flight of stairs taking you to their alfresco seating area which is a beautiful set up too. Terrace garden with uniform setting of the seating arrangement. There are huge mist fans and desert coolers to beat the heat. Apart from the open area seating, they also have a separate seating lounge kind of an area for bigger groups to have a get together, which has a huge single table and 10-12 chairs and a separate cooling system. Watching at the moon shining; sitting on a chair on the grass and sipping your favourite drink while being easy on the pocket, what more can one ask for.

Thai food has great & high nutritional values plus lot of health benefits. Thai herbs are also used to cure & heal certain diseases. For example, garlic is used to reduce blood pressure, shallot eases cold symptoms, chilli stimulates blood circulation, lemongrass relieves digestive disorders & galangal eases gastrointestinal discomfort.

Herbs and spices used in Thai food provide distinct aroma & flavour to certain dishes. It makes the recipe tasty & interesting. Unique fragrance, aroma, taste which when you intake makes you feel good & healthy like the coconut milk which when added in green Thai curry smells and tastes delicious and is also healthy. #KnowYourMom

Food May 8, 2016

Mothers are special. Whether it’s your Mother or Mother-in-law…they are your support system. Afterall, mother’s are the ones who know what you like, dislike and what you love…whether its shopping or food…they exactly know what you need…but does anyone of us know what our mom needs or what they like or dislike…This is what I realized when I got to know about the campaign done by Dine Out. The brand did a special campaign called #KnowYourMom. It was based on the fact that most of us are clueless on being asked about our mom’s favourite dish.
