A surprise Birthday Bash at the hottest destination in town: Unplugged Courtyard Gurgaon!

Lifestyle February 4, 2019

Birthdays are always special for everyone! After all, it is the day you came in the beautiful world and were held in the arms of your loved ones. The excitement of a birthday starts from the birthday month itself. I was born 2 days before the New Year and often used to joke that if I was born 2 days later it would have been a Grand celebration as it’s the New Year time.

The style of celebrating birthdays has differed as we grew up. Early school days used to be chilling at the school canteen with friends over Chowmein, Chole Kulcha, Burgers and Cold Drink. High school used to be about chilling at the latest QSR’s be it McDonald’s, Pizza Hut or Domino’s. As we entered college it used to be party time at our favourite café or longe and the same trend continued in my early professional stints too!

However, our preferences change as we grow older and now I prefer to be in the company of loved ones who would wish the best for me. As the time passes you make friends from school, college and earlier organizations with whom you have spent a beautiful time. You want to meet up with them and bond over the nostalgic years where you have had the most fun time with you but the busy lifestyle which we all lead these days makes it almost impossible.

Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards: A power packed night with kids, fun, dance, music and awards

Lifestyle January 4, 2019

~ Kids dictate our choices but when it comes to Kids choices you know how particular they are. Such were Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards! ~

I have re-lived my childhood days courtesy my kid brother (as I like to call him with an age gap of almost a decade plus though he is an adult now). There used be certain times of the morning as well as evening when we would not let anyone touch the TV remote because screen time during those was reserved for us. That was the era when TV was one of the only sources of entertainment as Internet was still a luxury which not many could afford. Our favourite cartoons and TV shows were not to be missed by us at any cost and we would gang up being the youngest in the three siblings and dictate our terms! Love the nostalgia of the golden era gone by! 😉

Baby, you are in safe hands with Apollo Cradle eNICU care

Lifestyle October 3, 2018

Being a mom is a divine experience. Even more than, I ever imagined. Carrying a life in your womb for 40 weeks is a joyful journey, for both mother and father. Right from starting of the pregnancy, parents ensure not to leave a stone unturned by taking measures and giving utmost care to the baby so that the world could see a healthy and happy child joining the family.

Not even in thoughts one would ever want to have a pre-term baby. A preterm or premature baby is the baby that is delivered between before 37th weeks of the pregnancy. Premature babies, especially those born very early (Even before 30th week), often have complicated medical issues. The earlier your baby is born, the higher the risk of complications.

If the baby is premature, she would likely need a longer hospital stay in a special nursery unit at the hospital under the complete supervision of specialized doctors and experienced team. Depending on how much care the little star requires, he or she may be admitted to an intermediate care nursery or the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the hospital.

Motherhood- a bliss with big responsibilities

Lifestyle February 28, 2018

Motherhood is no less than a blessing for a lady. My life completely changed after giving birth to Kiara. It is a bliss yet it comes with great responsibilities. Being a client servicing professional with an Advertising agency is a tedious task for a young woman who has recently become a mom. Late evening meetings, lengthy presentations, and sharp skills to make creative team understand client’s brief requires lots of patience and positive temperament. I really struggle hard with time investment for my little angel’s upbringing. It is tough to maintain a right balance between career and motherhood but what I am doing today is for my child’s better upbringing. Just after giving birth to Kiara, I was surrounded by a lot of curiosity raised by my relatives and friends that how am I going to cope-up with my career and the journey of motherhood. To bargain between the two was very difficult, one being the dream with which I have been raised up all my life and the other being my daughter, the most important part of my life. But I was very certain that I am not going to compromise in any circumstance whatsoever when comes to my child’s bright future and would like to give her the best amenities and facilities from her initial upbringing stage itself.

Home Loan EMI vs a monthly rental

Lifestyle February 22, 2018

A friend of mine got married recently and it was time to build a new house in a city where they had been living since long. However, their parents stayed in a different city and the new couple had to find a house for themselves in Delhi where both of them were working. They looked at a variety of options in the Delhi as well as NCR but they realised that the rentals were really high. Paying a heavy rent every month was not what they would ideally want to do but the solution they came up with was even better. They thought of an investment, not in shares or bonds but in their own house. Isn’t that a great idea? Instead of a rent, they chose to pay an EMI for their home loan.

Freelancing: our gateway to live life on our own terms!

Lifestyle February 6, 2018

Freelancing has its pros and cons. Infact, a research says that 38% like the profession on account of being one’s own boss & income growth. While I have the freedom to work on my own terms, which I love, what I don’t like about freelancing is the irregular income. I hate it when payments take as long as 6 months while delivery of the work is always ASAP. When work is done as per deadline, why do we have to wait for payments!

‘’When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.’’ – Sophia Loren

How true are these words by Sophia Loren! Pregnancy is a special phase that a woman goes through. This is also a challenging time of her life as she has to be extra careful about everything she does – right from her diet to exercise to sleeping position and the emotional turmoil inside her. No matter how tough it may seem and feel like, it is also extremely rewarding.
