My next travel destination: Coorg

Holidays for me is not about staying back in my city and sleeping but it’s about exploring a new world all together. Yes, travel is one thing I can never have enough of! Whether it’s to beat the city heat or to chill at an exotic location or just to take a break from my mundane life.

It’s finally time to select my next travel destination. Yes, I have a big wish list according to different zones for different period. Thinking of my next destination, I am going to hit is South India. South India is one zone which I haven’t explored much, though I have travelled to Hyderabad for work and Kerala for a FAM trip, my next destination would have be beautiful South India. While I was doing my research online, I zeroed down upon Coorg known as the Scotland of India.

A few days of bliss is what all of us wish for and this time it was my trip to the holy city Amritsar that I was looking forward to. Well, I have been to Amritsar before but this time it was special because I was staying at Ranjit’s SVAASA, a Heritage Boutique Spa Haveli. The 250-year-old British Colonial Haveli of the Rai Bahadur Rattan Chand family has housed royalty and eminent personalities of all lineages.

Haptik: My travel assistant which flew me away to bliss

A few days ago I was planning my trip to the holy city Amritsar. While I was looking forward to my time of bliss, I also had a lot of things running on my mind! Whenever we plan a vacation, on one side we have to finish all the pending stuff at work so that we can enjoy at ease but at the same time, we have our travel related things running on our mind – booking tickets, booking cabs, sightseeing plans, checking local transport, internet connectivity and not to forget web check-in and waking up on time. Ah! I wanted more hands or more hours in the day as I was going crazy thinking about all this! You will be surprised to know I managed everything with ease. A few days back I stepped into a hospital through a majestic gate in a lush green arena and entered my villa. No, I am not dreaming, this is reality! Everybody wants a getaway or a relaxing holiday away from the stress & hustle bustle of daily life. This time around I headed for a retreat to Kairali- The Ayurvedic Healing Village. It is actually a hospital built in a resort environment for holistic healing where treatments are done through Ayurveda! Isn’t that great! Formerly known as Kairali Ayurvedic Health Resort, the Kairali Ayurvedic Healing Village is flawlessly set in the scenic town of Palakkad known as the Gateway of Kerala, a jewel in this Southern state of India’s crown. The healing village boasts of rich flora & fauna, away from the city life where ChicLifeByte had a wonderful time!

My home away from home in Mumbai and Jaipur

Luxurious living has its own charm and when you travel you need all the amenities in a space which is a home away from home. Today I am going to tell you two of my favourite adobes where I can luxuriously spend my time! Actually I can stay there for a lifetime. Though one is located at a distance to be flown away from my base city (Delhi), Mumbai is like a second home for the umpteen times I have been to the city for work. The other one is at a driving distance from my base city. No one can resist Jaipur’s colourful streets! So before much ado, let me tell you more about the two destinations where life is a treat in itself.

My fantasy place in the hills: Mosaic Mussoorie!

A weekend getaway is the most welcoming thought and when I got an invitation to Hotel Mosaic Musoorie, I was pretty excited. Just the thought of going to the hills gave me enough joy so imagine what feeling would the actual hills given me. Without much delay, I said yes and landed at Mussoorie, the queen of hills post an early morning train journey till Dehradun followed by an hour drive to Mussoorie!
