A few days back I stepped into a hospital through a majestic gate in a lush green arena and entered my villa. No, I am not dreaming, this is reality! Everybody wants a getaway or a relaxing holiday away from the stress & hustle bustle of daily life. This time around I headed for a retreat to Kairali- The Ayurvedic Healing Village. It is actually a hospital built in a resort environment for holistic healing where treatments are done through Ayurveda! Isn’t that great! Formerly known as Kairali Ayurvedic Health Resort, the Kairali Ayurvedic Healing Village is flawlessly set in the scenic town of Palakkad known as the Gateway of Kerala, a jewel in this Southern state of India’s crown. The healing village boasts of rich flora & fauna, away from the city life where ChicLifeByte had a wonderful time!

We all know of Yell as a clothing brand but this time we headed to Yell not for my clothing needs but for my food needs. Yes, the new age boutique café, Café Yell founded by Vipul and Divya Gupta is the new hub at Defence Colony. Located above Yell showroom, Café Yell is made in the form of an Italian style café that focuses quite simply on excellent coffee, great food and hospitable service. Though the first look of the café seemed as if we have entered a fancy tailoring shop or a designer’s studio! Various items of tailoring and fashion can be seen across the walls and ceiling – colourful threads, sewing machine, hanger lamps, clothes, colour pencils, iron, small trunk and big colourful buttons. Each element was distinctively present against the white walls of the cafe. There was also a man and women model wrapped with wool blends. Wooden couches with red backrest on one side with purple and red chairs seated us comfortably.
It’s HOLIDAY time and we all want to just leave our base and roam around the world! Yes, that’s the feeling that most of us could relate to! Now, the big question is where to travel and how to travel because we all have different aspirations and different budgets but let me tell you something which will fit every aspiration and every budget!
Whether you are rocking a suit or chilling in your joggers, the pivot of your outfit remains your footwear choice. In many ways, shoes define your personality and your taste. There is no denying that the different styles of shoes are a delight to explore. With online shoes shopping, you can enjoy great deals and a wide selection without stepping out of home. Make sure you get your basics right for this essential pillar of your wardrobe.
Prominently seen at the famous SDA Market is the branding of Scooter On The Wall which attracted us towards the place on a Friday evening and we immediately made up our mind to visit it! We had to try hard to find the entry because it has a back entry! The moment we saw a scooter cut out, we knew where the entry was from! We started taking the stairs which was through a colorful entry with doors & tyres and led us to a place which was even more colorful with a vibrant surrounding!
Luxurious living has its own charm and when you travel you need all the amenities in a space which is a home away from home. Today I am going to tell you two of my favourite adobes where I can luxuriously spend my time! Actually I can stay there for a lifetime. Though one is located at a distance to be flown away from my base city (Delhi), Mumbai is like a second home for the umpteen times I have been to the city for work. The other one is at a driving distance from my base city. No one can resist Jaipur’s colourful streets! So before much ado, let me tell you more about the two destinations where life is a treat in itself.
Travel is sometimes not just about reaching the destination –the beaches and the colourful town, but often it’s driven by a desire for new experiences, cultures and people, and an intense urge to explore more and go further just as much about what happens along the way. Often, even the most talented wordsmith can’t paint the mood and the magic of a new place the way your camera lens can, creating the best digital record and memories that will last forever. Because of these latest travel trends, the travel industry is flourishing at a rapid rate to create more opportunities, personalized trips and experiences than ever before.
~My Eureka Moment to meet the king of Bollywood SHAHRUKH KHAN~
Last Thursday when the weekend had a few more hours to go before setting in, most people might’ve had a movie date planned, some would be having their shopping lists ready while there might be some who’d be escaping the concrete jungle for a quick weekend getaway. But for me, it started a day earlier and in the most pleasantly unexpected ways! I was at the R-city mall for catching a movie. I’d had an exhausting day of work (what with all the brain churning stuff I have to put down on paper) so I thought this would give my body as well my mind some much needed break.
Big things give us big happiness but what I really cherish are the small things in life which not only give us the little happiness but even the special memories which are cherished for a lifetime. One evening I sat back comparing the big and small to evaluate what gives me happiness and life! That’s when I realized and thought about the small wonders of life!
