A Thailand trip is incomplete without a visit to Bangkok. Hence, post our incredible time in Phuket and Krabi, our journey through Thailand led us to the bustling city of Bangkok. Our abode in the vibrant city had to be extra special and hence we chose Montien Surawong Hotel. Our first International trip post Covid had to be special. Afterall we waited for 3 long years to go overseas. We chose to go to Thailand, a destination which I did explore a few years back and absolutely loved it. So why not relive the nostalgia!

This time our trip was extra special as it was our first trip post lockdown after a gap of 8-9 months. The old and heritage city Agra known as the ‘city of Love’ not only has the marvelous Taj Mahal but also has the splendid ITC Mughal. ITC’s luxury collection hotel is situated in close proximity to Taj Mahal and is a tribute to the Mughal builders of the past as this hotel is historic and is inspired by the heritage Mughal monuments like Fatehpur Sikri and Agra Fort.
I love the vivid culture India has where one gets to learn about different religions as well as their festivities. I have enjoyed the splendour of Christmas as much as I enjoy Diwali so when I got an invitation for a Ramadan Food Walk from Novotel Hyderabad Airport we could not say ‘NO’. After a 2 hour flight we landed in Hyderabad, the City of Nizams from where in a few minutes we entered the plush and beautiful hotel. A look around and I was captivated with the serene surroundings filled with greenery and nature.
Who doesn’t want to get pampered and what better way to get yourself treated by the experts of Blue Lagoon Salon located in Noida. When I entered the posh salon where a statue of Buddha is there at the entrance I met Nidhi, the PR Manager and Pooja, a beauty expert at Blue Lagoon Salon. Prior to this we also visited London Cafe (located above the salon) for a quick bite.

Jamie’s Pizzeria, the UK based international food chain makes it way to India with its first outlet in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. For all pizza lovers, its a must stopover for the variety of pizzas which are all beautifully & lovingly made with the best ingredients for the Oxford & Cambridge generation.
We were invited for a media launch of Jamie’s Pizzeria in Gurgaon recently to taste some of Jamie’s food. The menu is a blend of traditional best-selling Italian dishes and some more contemporary dishes with a Jamie and Gennaro twist. Rustic, simple dishes made from the best seasonal ingredients drive menu development. The ambience is very warm & laid back with blackboards, pictures & sketches, big lamps and chairs. It was very interesting and lovely to look at the open kitchen where pizzas were prepared live, displays of hanging vegetables and planks in the restaurant.
After all these years of close friendship, MS Dhoni and Chris Gayle took their personal camaraderie and passion for the sport to the next level and celebrated their ‘No. 1 Yaari’ by unveiling the new identity for United Spirits’ iconic brand McDowell’s No. 1 Soda and shared inspiring stories of their brotherhood.

I could see the live drama with glitterati of designer and the madness of fashion world being brought together under one roof by FDCI & Mr. Sunil Sethi whose birthday happened to be during the Fashion Week days. Such a nice & warm person he is, always full of life & energy. I was more than happy because I was heading towards the show area for the MAYBELLINE show (Official make-up sponsor for AIFWSS16) co-presented by Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna.

This time around it’s the love fool game with Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’s young and bubbly starcast – Kartik Aaryan (Gogo), Nushrat Bharucha(Chiku), Sunny Singh(Siddarth), Sonnalli Seygal(Supriya), Ishita Sharma(Kusum) and Omkar Kapoor(Tarun). The Bridal Diet is a book to grab irrespective of the fact if you are getting married or not, published by Random House India & written by Nishi Grover. It made me feel nostalgic and took me to the time when I got married and tried shedding those extra kilos. I still don’t know if my strategy was right or wrong but yes, what I learnt from the book was quite exciting. Firstly I would like to confess that after reading this book I quite admire the author as I read her life story. She was detected Type I diabetes when she was 4 and any kid her age would have been disheartened to not being able to enjoy the candies as her friends used to do. She overcame this and became a top dietician. Kudos to her!! The book effectively encapsulates the intricacies involved in weddings these days and what the bride goes through. Every girl wants to look perfect on her D-Day and involves herself in a series of weight loss experiments without thinking of the ill effects.
