Wendy’s, one of world’s largest restaurant chains has been existence in India since more than a year now and even after hearing so much about it, I hadn’t been able to try it. But I finally tried it recently at the newly opened outlet in Cyber Hub, Gurgaon. Wendy’s provides a great quality experience with a wide menu range including burgers, salads, sea-salt fries, chilli bowls, baked potatoes, melts, wraps & delicious frosty desserts along with fruitails, shakes, 100% Arabica coffee and masala chai. The food is made fresh to order and they hand cut their vegetables everyday and use best quality ingredients.
Angriest, spiciest & red hot burger with delicious angry anions, spicy Habanero sauce, zesty & hot jalapenos all ingredients packed inside the Angriest Whopper by Burger King, the latest burger in making & changing consumers taste buds and experimentations regarding taste, variety & choice.
Located nearby Rajendra Place metro station, this pocket-friendly restaurant cum pub called Lanterns Kitchen & Bar is a must visit if you are around. Owned by brothers Jasneet and Suneet Sahni, the restaurant inspired from Irish concept serves delicious Indian, Oriental, Mexican, European and fusion food.
The interiors are vibrant & emit positive energy with relaxed seating & a focus on music which is evident from their frequent live performances by well-known artists every now & then. The place is huge and looks dainty with painted graffiti on walls. In the evening it looks magical with lights. It has a distinctive styled bar & also a terrace garden. The serving dishes are specifically designed to add a surprise element.
We all love to dig into those yummy burgers filled with tikki, yummy sauces, dips and veggies but then what we realize later is the amount of calories we have consumed. That’s when we also feel guilty and regret about consuming so many calories for a little pleasure. It is so difficult to resist amazing burgers. Even on the day we diet, our tastebuds long for some superb food stuff. What made our life easy, fun and guilt free is a recent invitation that ChicLifeByte got in its mailbox. Yes, we had a little respite when we got to know that Carl’s Jr., the Californian premium burger brand has launched ‘Green Burgers’. This was done keeping in mind the growing demand for healthier options in the burger space and sensitivities of gluten conscious patrons. Initially we thought that the bun will be made of green stuff with a patty but when we reached the restaurant we were in for a pleasant surprise.
Adding to the casual dining space in Hauz Khas Village, Barcelos has launched their second outlet in Delhi. The restaurant reflects a Portugal theme in the interiors and designs of the restaurant stretched in the area of 3600 square feet keeping its focus on modern and antique art. Narrating a story, every wall is different from the other depicting a unique concept of towns in Portugal. What can fascinate you the most is the 3D painting of the real streets of Portugal on a wall creating the most apt ambience of Portugal town in the eatery. The outlet typically has a two-table outdoor seating, a quick-dine space, big bar and a laid-back lounge, along with a separate smoking area and a visible kitchen. The warm colours make it well lit.
Zai, a name which I read while coming back from GK-2 has been on my mind since then. My research said it meant ‘seventh heaven’ in Roman and ‘form of perfection’ in Persian. When I recently got a chance to review this place, I thought why not try out the seventh heaven on Earth.
I entered Maquina in Hauz Khas Village where I could the waiters & bartenders in hats & unusual costumes. I could see the bartenders juggle with the glasses which was very interesting to watch. The lights were dim & I could feel the Goan zing as everyone was rejoicing in the music which filled the entire space with lots of enthusiasm & cheers.
One look at the menu & to say it, it was 80% Mexican menu. They have a lot of Mexican starters with the main course being American. We met the New York based Chef, Chef Ajay Chamoli who has more than 10 years of experience in food making and is now in Delhi since 6 months.
This was my third visit to Barcelos, Khan Market & I was greeted warmly by Rohit Malhotra, Head of operations, Barcelos India. After trying out the Black Burger & Red Burger, it was time for the White Burger. Yes! A white burger! They have proved the notion wrong that burgers only come in brown colour. Now they come in black, red & white colours as well that too without preservatives.
My eyes longed to see the white bun. It is available in 2 variants: Vegetarian & Chicken.
This place is a paradise for meat lovers. It is small but the ambience is perfect, they even have soft and soothing music Loved their tagline: Joint Café- crafted by hand and heart…
