Festivals are at the heart of people’s lives in India and no festival is complete without food! Food in India is a celebration in itself and when its festival time, food becomes one of the key elements. Afterall every theme is different and that’s how food is set and marketing promotions for the same start.
When we talk of traditional Punjabi food- the masaledaar, spicy & tadka maarke one cannot forget the name of Punjab Grill, the flagship restaurant from Lite Bite Foods which is most of the times full of Punjabis and food lovers like me. When I visited their Select Citywalk branch recently, I was sure that I was in for a treat enticing the aroma of food from the open kitchen.
10th to 12th February 2017 was known as the foodies weekend coz there were 4 food festivals taking place in Delhi NCR. In just one weekend it was impossible to go to all 4 food festivals, so we had to choose one! I had never been to Palate Fest before so I chose to go there. Held at Nehru Park, it opened doors from 11 AM to 11 PM from Feb 10 to 12, 2017.
Palate Fest Reimagined 2017 is known as an all-encompassing Food & Music Festival jam packed with exclusive fine-dining restaurants & world class chefs, Palate fest has proven itself to be one of India’s best culinary events, loved by families and the youth alike. So Team ChicLifeByte with an empty stomach went ahead to explore the culinary delights from the best of the restaurants under the open sky! The big wide lawn with colourful branding of the fest welcomed us whole-heartedly!
For foodies like us food festivals are a dream destination in itself…afterall who doesn’t love the best of restaurants under one roof! We were recently invited to the 3rd edition of Grub Fest (the first two editions took place in April and October 2015). The biggest buzz was that last year the Grub Fest was about 200 participating brands and over 100,000 foodies being served. This year they were prepared for a bigger and brighter event and Team ChicLifeByte was all geared up to witness the scintillating fest with their own eyes.
Only months after Delhi witnessed it’s launch at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, with a footfall of around 1 Lakh food enthusiasts, 70 participating restaurants, an enormous line up of chefs and lots of other entertainment factors, The Grub Fest, a brainchild of young entrepreneurs – Aman Kumar, Arjun Jain, Chaitanya Mathur & Manveer Singh Cheema, is back with yet another edition to please the palates of thousands across the capital. The second edition will take place from 23rd to 25th October at a new and significant spot, right at the border of Delhi and Gurgaon– the sprawling Ambience Lawns.
