Days of the Raj is located amongst the hustle bustle of the Aurobindo Marg. I was really looking forward to a phenomenal evening with a lot of alluring & lip smacking food and that’s what I got. The restaurant is very clean and elegant and had something about it that helped me relate it to the days of the raj with the ambience being very positive & aesthetically pleasing. They have live Indian music playing band on all weekdays except Monday and Tuesday. The restaurant was very brightly done up with big chandeliers & ceiling lamps, which gave a touch of the British Raj to this beautifully done up restaurant. Soon, I was greeted by Mr Chandrabhan, Sr. Captain & Mr. Mohinder, manager of the restaurant. They both were extremely polite & helped me to choose the dishes. The menu has a vast range of food with influence from the Indian and the Anglo-Indian cuisine.
This was my first visit to the Global Food Factory where I met Mr. Diwaker, the extremely polite gentleman who greeted us at the Istanbul, Lahore (Pakistan) & Thailand cuisine inspired restaurant, Global Food Factory which opened in Oct 2014 amidst the bizarre crowds & restaurants of Rajouri Garden market.
Singh Sahib Restaurant located in Eros Hotel, Nehru Place makes me go into nostalgia because it has brought the concept of Delhi 6 से 19. Delhi 6 से 19 is a Street food festival wherein they have brought the street food from Delhi 6 (Old Delhi) to Delhi 19 (Nehru Place).
In the sprawling Hotel Ashoka lies the high class luxurious restaurant ZERRUCO where every corner is lively, cheerful & happy with balls & petals of changing lighting according to the day or night pattern providing a premium dining restaurant experience in the premises of Diplomatic Enclave in Delhi. The high end deconstructed midtown lighthouse warehouse is bordered in glass & alfresco area lined with wooden panels & the mood lighting also reflects in every corner. They have the city’s selection of the choicest contemporary Mediterranean cuisine.
I was all excited to visit this place in Connaught Place called Open House. Geared & charged up I went to the restobar which was done in red in the truest sense & blue in the coolest sense. Hip, hit & happening is the word for Priyank Sukhija’s places! It’s amazingly comfortable & vast with a DJ in house and is a warm & lively lit up place. Every corner of the restaurant is so nicely done. I met the F&B Executive Manish Joshi, the Sr. Captain Vikas Singh & the in-charge Rajat who greeted us very warmly & helped us decide our order.
The ambience, the place, the crowd & the hospitality amazes us on entering this restaurant called Indigo Delicatessen located in Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj.
I met Ryan, the manager who was really polite & assigned us a table. We started with various varieties of breads which were served along with melting butter. The first bread was multi-grain bread which was fresh, crisp, hot as if straight out of the oven & tasted well.
My recent shopping spree took me to Select City Walk at Saket. After I had shopped to my heart’s content, I entered the food court as I was a little hungry. As I entered I saw this nice looking pop up store called Artful Baker. I glanced at the food kept on display and I immediately decided to try out the stuff. It had delicious cakes, croissants, breads and many other sweet and savory items. It not only looked amazing but also offered great flavors in less calories, less guilt and was also not too pricey.
Zamozza stands in the high class market of Connaught Place (CP). Zamozza in Hindi Punjabi means fun & entertainment, remember that song from Jab we met “Mauja hi mauja” and the ‘a’ of Zamozza resembles Nachos & Samossa.
Vidur Kanodia, the owner of Zamozza wanted to something different & take the challenge of multi cuisine without Indian & Chinese food therefore he went ahead with 4 of his very well experienced & professional chefs who specialize in Mexican, Italian, Turkish & Thai cuisines. Now people expect variety not in dishes but also cuisines. Italy, Istanbul & Bangkok appear in the skyline art wall of Zamozza.
Kids Pizza Party was organised by Pizza Express at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon for a unique & exciting kids pizza making experience.
Pizza Express was founded in 1965 by Peter Boizot & specializes in those conventional Italian flavours. As I walked in, I just fell in love with the ambience created with red & copper lamps hanging beautifully from the ceiling. It builds up the interiors of every restaurant in its unique manner. In Vasant Kunj, Pizzaexpress has a theme of pottery and in Gurgaon it has an open ceiling look. The restaurant is very tastefully done with perfect choice of colours and light. It has about 400 outlets across United Kingdom and overseas in Europe, Pakistan, Hong Kong, India and the Middle East. The concept on which Pizza Express operates is Transparency in form of an OPEN KITCHEN. Their main aim is trust build up & satisfaction of customers. With an open kitchen customers can be sure of hygiene and process of cooking.
The Black burger at Barcelos, Khan Market is the talk of the town & now comes the Red burger, which I personally favour is the heart beat of the town coz it’s red (cranberry red) made of tomato powder, chilli flakes & the best of sesame seeds in the market.
The Red burger is available in 3 variants: Vegetarian, Chicken & Lamb.
