Perched between two storeys, the first floor accommodating the dining area and an open terrace, Locale is a treat for foodies in Saket. After long, the PVR Anupam market in Saket is gaining popularity and inviting footfall owing to the new eateries opening here. One such place is Locale. The entrance has a good vibe to start with and the ambience is ideal for couples, groups or friends or families alike.

The first floor also hosts a play station in one corner for you to enjoy your game of Playstation. The ambience is intimate with dim lighting and earthy interiors with the walls decorated with posters, and wall hangings. The brick finish walls give a cosy feel. The seating is a mixture of sofas and chairs, so you can choose. The terrace is ideal for autumn or winter evenings, as you can sit out and enjoy some hookah along with the food and drinks. Live events such as DJ nights and gigs are also hosted here. For couples, especially, the terrace is the better seating option.

Food is a mix of varied cuisines and the restaurant also houses a well-stocked bar with your favourite alcohol. Besides, alcohol, they also concoct great shakes, smoothies and mocktails to go along with your meal.

To begin with, we started with the Ferrero Rocher Shake which was a decadent combination of Ferrero Rocher blended with ice cream, milk and some sugar. It was thick and frothy just as it should be.

Kerala Kozhi Roast was the first starter that was served at our table. This was a chicken tikka preparation in which the tikka was tossed with spices and curry leaves to leave a spicy tingling sensation on the tongue owing to the authentic Kerala spices.

Next, we were served the Paneer Tikka Aloo Bukhara with lachcha onion and mint sauce on the side. It is a unique combination of savoury and sweet flavours in one dish. Just the perfect blend as you call it! The zesty paneer tikka stuffed with sweet plums and dry fruits for the sweet kick is what you need in a paneer starter.

Next was Crispy Fish in Shantung Chilli. This crispy fried fish tossed in Chinese sauces and spices is a great accompaniment with their cocktails or mocktails. You can also order it in chicken or vegetable variants, however, it would ideally taste best in fish.

Moving on to the main course, the Yellow Thai curry with prawns served with a bed of steamed rice was the first main course combination that we tried. The spices were perfect and coconut based curry was a perfect medium textured curry with fresh prawns. It can also be paired with fried rice.

Next in line was Rosemary Grilled Lamb Chops with Caper Mash, Glazed Carrots and Jus. Yet another delicacy at Locale with juicy succulent lamb chops and potato and caper mash along with carrots as the accompaniments. For red meat or lamb lovers, this is a fine option to try. The lamb was falling off the bones and the sauce on top made the taste even better.

The meal was followed by Cheesy Mushroom Ragout with Jalapeno Corn Rice which was also a great way or say preparation to end the meal with. The rich and creamy preparation could also be categorized as one of the highlights from the menu, especially for vegetarians. If you like cheese with mushrooms in combination, this is a great recommendation for it. Cheesy mushroom ragout was seasoned with herbs and the flavour was distinct and the rice complemented the sauce brilliantly.

The staff was efficient and friendly and the manager was around all the time to make sure the guests were comfortable. The interaction with him was pleasant as he took us around the restaurant and described every aspect really well. The service was quick and clean with tempting presentations. Wednesdays and Fridays they also have live events which can be a good time to visit them.
